Which method to choose
- Under 4 lb, documents, small gifts: USPS. Lowest price at low weights.
- Urgent: express (DHL, FedEx). A few business days to Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku or Chișinău.
- Boxes of 10 lb and up: consolidated shipping by the pound. On heavy boxes the savings over express can be several times over.

Common mistakes
- No postal code. Armenia and Georgia sort by postal code; without one, the parcel can wander for weeks.
- "Personal items" instead of an item list. Customs may hold the box and ask for details.
- Undervaluing. If the parcel is lost, insurance only covers the declared value.
